Blancpain Wins Ladies Category During The Grand Prix Dhorlogerie De Genve

Blancpain receives the Ladies’ watch category prize, for its new Women Heure Décentrée Seconde Retrograde, during this year’s Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. The Women Heure Décentrée Seconde Retrograde is a true anthem to femininity. Specially created just for women, the timepiece is lit up with the brilliance of 152 diamonds. Its 36.8 mm-diameter red gold case is exalted by 108 diamonds totalling one carat. This original gemsetting composes of two interwoven rows of diamonds in various sizes that echo Blancpain’s emblematic double-stepped case design. What’s more, the diamond adorning the crown lends the Women Heure Décentrée Seconde Retrograde, the ultimate touch of refinement.

This year’s Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève saw 72 pre-selected watches that represented the major watch groups as well as independent brands, competing in 12 categories. The jury singled out the Women Heure Décentrée Seconde Retrograde due to its outstanding technical and aesthetic characteristics.

The travelling exhibition that made stopovers in India, China and then Switzerland has seen tremendous success. The exhibition allowed the public to discover the year’s finest watchmaking creations that were brought together specially for the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. Furthermore, the prize-winning watches were presented at the SalonQP in London from November 6-8.
