Panerai History Legend Exhibition

Most Panerai fans and horology buffs will be aware of the watch company’s heritage as a supplier of precision instruments and watches to the Italian navy. From now till September 6, at ION Orchard, Singapore,  Panerai’s “History and Legend” exhibition brings that legacy closer to life with a 7.5-m-long prototype of a manned torpedo that was designed by two Italian naval engineers to carry commandos on their underwater exploits.

Around this life-size centerpiece, showcases of Panerai timepieces through the decades tell the story of the brand’s evolution. Aside from the master collection comprising a selection Radiomir, Radiomir 1940, Luminor 1950 and Luminor models, there are also sections of the exhibition dedicated to the Submersible range, vintage models, precision instruments made for military use, as well as the latest timepieces unveiled this year.
