EDOX, an innovative watchmaker, introduces a new limited edition timepiece to its Chronorally collection in order to honor the famous Sauber F1 Team, with a dynamic titanium-cased timepiece inspired by the excitements of F1 race!
Like the rest of the Chronorally collection, the new Chronorally Limited Edition Sauber F1 Team is a racing-themed, sturdy timepiece, designed to withstand the harshest conditions. Beloging to the Chronorally range are designed using the cutting-edge materials, enclosed in solid, robust cases, and mounted on sturdy and durable rubber straps.
The Sauber F1 Team, a Swiss Formula One team that was founded in the 1970s by Peter Sauberthe, announced Edox as a Premium Partner ahead of the 2016 FIA Formula One Championship. At the time, Alexandre Strambini, CEO of Montres Edox & Vista SA, said that EDOX will soon launch the first timepiece engineered for the fastest drivers on our planet – and here it is, the latest in the series… A stunning sporty chronograph made from highly resistant yet lightweight titanium, featuring a dynamic dial modeled after the F1 driver’s cockpit display.
This unusual timepiece features a carbon fiber dial with blue detailing, evocative of the Sabuer F1 Team’s emblematic colors. Its rather large, masculine case measures 48mm in diameter, accommodating a precise quartz chronograph movement, caliber Ronda 8040.N. In addition to the display of hours, minutes, and seconds, the watch features a big date complication, and a complete chronograph function. The black inner flange reveals a tachymeter scale, which can be used to compute a speed based on travel time or measure distance based on speed. A special finishing includes Sauber “S” logo on the oversized red pusher, Limited Edition numbering on the case-back, and Sauber F1 Team side plate.
The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal with scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coating. It features a black rubber strap with tyre-print motif, and a classic EDOX buckle. Water resistant to 100 meters.
EDOX Chronorally Limited Edition Sauber F1 Team is available in 555 individually numbered pieces. The watch retails at 1’590 CHF.
